WWW Wednesday: October 14, 2020

The WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme created with the intention of connecting book bloggers through their reading of the week.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Heart of Blood and Ashes

by Milla Vane

I’m going to finish it today, I promise.

It’s so good.

I don’t know how I’m going to write a review on this one. I think it’s just going to be excited and crying GIFS. Everyone likes GIFS, right?

Baron by Joanna Shupe

#FallforJoannaShupe continues with Baron. This features Will, the busy body bully brother from Magnage. He’s running for office and there’s only one thing in is way – a pesky medium who has his running mate under her spell.

The heroine is a medium! I love it. Joanna Shupe writes the best heroines.

What did you recently finish reading?

Priest by Sierra Simone

I really loved this book.

Mating the Huntress by Talia Hibbert

This was everything I wanted in such a lovely, snack-sized read. For a funny, sexy, happy, Halloween theme fun grab this novella now.

Magnate by Joanna Shupe

Magnate was the second book in the #FallforJoannaShupe read-a-long, and it was an educational read. It was written in 2016 but it read like it was an old skool romance. Full upper arm grab kiss in anger moment and everything. The hero was Absolute Patriarchy.

I said he was a brick. Tall, dense, sharp edges. A tool.

I enjoyed reading this one with a group, but most of it has already flown out of my mind. This was one of Joanna Shupe’s early works, and it has been interesting and encouraging to hear that she, of course, evolves in her later works. Having this foundation of early work will make for some interesting compare and contrast once I get into later series.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Mogul by Joanna Shupe

It’s the last installment of #FallforJoannaShupe!

Famine by Laura Thalassa

Famine got bumped by a week because I was lingering so long on A Heart of Blood and Ashes; but now it’s finally time to get caught up with the new horseman!!

I found this absolutely gorgeous fan art of Famine the other day and it sparked my hype back to full force!

Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson

Excited to snuggle up with a hot cider and reach peak #FallVibes with this spooky read.
