Stepback Saturday 1/9/2021: Stacking the Shelves and Weekly Recap

Stepback Saturday was founded by Lindsay, a.k.a PinkCowlandReads on Instagram as a way to celebrate the beautiful and brazen art of romance novels. Here at The Novel Cauldron I making Stepback Saturday into a weekly series in which I “step back” to review my week of reading and share fun news and updates!

The Prisoner Bride by Susan Spencer Paul

It’s been so cold this week that I’m longing to visit a lovely, warm place near a beach about now. That, or I need a foot of snow. I can handle cold if there’s a scenic snowscape. But this bitter, boring cold is so annoying!

Because of my weather blues, this beautiful castle coastline stepback is calling my name! It’s so blue. Look at the happy yellow flowers! So lovely. Also, let’s just take a moment for some dress appreciation. The color is gorgeous, and there’s nothing I love more than a billowing sleeve.

As for him, hello Captain tight tights!!

This stepback is from The Prisoner Bride by Susan Spencer Paul. Published in 2001 by Harlequin Historicals. I really love this line because the stepbacks are uniquely placed on the inside cover, rather than in their typical first page insert location. It’s always such a fun find.
