Someone Wanton His Way Comes is the first book in Christi Caldwell’s new Wantons of Waverton series, and it makes a great first impression. This was such a delightful read and perfect for readers who need lighthearted social commentary of a Tessa Dare with whimsy of Lenora Bell energy in their life.
The Witch's Heart was an absolutely beautiful, epic, fantasy love story. Angrboda’s heroic journey took my breath away and had me weeping by the end. I absolutely loved it.
Love is a Rogue by Lenora Bell is pure delight. If you're in the mood for a light, fluffy historical romance with a dash of Beauty and the Beast inspiration then you need this in your life immediately.
This book is a comforting hug and a soft sigh of happiness. In Love & Pajamas is a wonderfully curated book of vignettes which captures the joy of being in love with your best friend.
The Pearl by Tiffany Reisz is delivers deliciously debauched erotic scenes, but falls a bit flat as an overall story. As the third novel in Reisz's Godwicks series, it is certainly overshadowed by the previous two books. Which, as a fan of the author, is disappointing indeed.
An accidental theme has emerged in my reading this week: Artistic. Come see what I'm reading and let me know what books have captured your attention.
Stepback Saturday is a series in which I "step back" to review my reading week. I received my first ARC to review and have a roundup of my first week of blogging!
Highland Defender by Kathryn Le Veque a straightforward and satisfying adventure romance. A pair of earnest and likable young lovers face off against cartoonishly evil antagonists. Le Veque delivers a comfortable Highland romance perfect for an easy afternoon read.
Confessions of a Curious Bookseller by Elizabeth Green grabbed me from page one and didn’t let me go until I read the last page. It’s been a while since a book had me laughing, hard, and out loud. It was a perfect weekend pickup and an unexpectedly delightful read.
Winter of the Wallflower continues with a ghost hunting heroine and a notorious earl. The New Camelot series by Sierra Simone is my latest book obsession and I have not one, but two new ARCs I'm looking forward to reading this week!
